ACM’s projects and services are various and diverse and are spread out across various web pages. Some are briefly introduced and linked below:
ACM will be hosting our first annual Athanatos Arts & Apologetics Festival in the summer of 2016. Join us August 4-7, 2016 in Greenwood, WI. All artistic expressions will be featured: music, film, novels, drama, the visual arts, etc. In the spirit of ACM’s mission to defend the Christian faith through the arts, the festival will encourage artists to appeal as much to secular audiences as with Christian ones. This festival will be held in conjunction with the Athanatos Writing Contest.
Athanatos Publishing Group Athanatos Christian Ministries is interested in promoting Christian thought in a variety of contexts, including through the publishing of books. Both fiction and nonfiction submissions are welcome. ACM offers a hybrid approach to publishing: contracts typically allow the author to retain all rights and can offer terms that range from no upfront cost to the author (standard publisher/author relationship) to some costs (quasi-self publishing). Request review copy.
Paley, Whately, & Greenleaf Press Non-fiction works centering on Christian apologetics–the defense of the Christian faith–will be the primary focus of works released under this imprint. PWGP’s quest is to put into circulation as many apologetics works as possible. These works do not to be thoroughly apologetic in nature, but should in some way reasonably be seen as something that could promote or defend the Christian faith, or some aspect of it. Request review copy.
Suzeteo Enterprises is an imprint operating under the auspices of Athanatos Christian Ministries. SE aims to bring to the market works that evoke spirited conversation and deep examination of one’s beliefs. To this end, SE will publish contemporary authors as well as make available classic works of fiction and nonfiction. SE does not agree with everything it releases. SE does believe that every person has the duty to know what they believe, and why, and have a clear sense of how their views have fit in with the history of the human race. Request review copy.
PATHOS A quarterly magazine of culture and faith, Pathos explores all the major ideas that move our world today in politics, science, art and popular culture, and examines what they mean and how they intersect with the life of faith. Each issue also includes poetry, fiction and art from some of today’s finest emerging talents. Request review copy.
- Could you demonstrate that Jesus was the Christ from the Old Testament alone? The first Christians did.
- If someone said that the Da Vinci Code proves Jesus was just a man and the Church just a pack of liars, would you know how to respond?
- If a Jehovah Witness argued with you about what the Greek text ‘really says’ would you know where to start?
- If an atheist asserted that Christianity is just a borrowed myth, stealing from Mithras and Osiris, could you stand up to him?
Are you afraid to talk about your reasons for being a Christian because there are so many questions you know you don’t have the answers to?
Maybe it is time to change that. Maybe we can help.
Our 3-5 week modules are designed with the busy person in mind. At an affordable cost and for just a few hours a week, you can become acquainted with some of the most important apologetics resources available. You’ll learn about the facts of your faith and lay a foundation for further, independent study. These courses are available throughout the year on a ‘self-guided’ basis. Start and finish on your own timeline. However, three times a year–in October, February, and May–facilitators will be ‘on duty.’ Time your enrollment for those periods if you want interaction with teachers and facilitators.
The highest amount of interaction is offered to those who enroll in either our Apologetics Certificate Program or our Literary Apologetics Certificate Program.
Athanatos Writing Workshops further ACM’s mission to encourage and support Christian authors in their quest to promote Christianity through the written word. ACM contest judge, Debbie Thompson, holds these periodic writing workshops over the Internet, allowing you to participate from around the world at your own pace.
The Athanatos Writing Contest is an outgrowth of ACM’s desire to develop a genre of fiction that might be called ‘literary apologetics.’ Apologetics is the defense of the Christian faith. Literary apologetics would be the use of fiction and Story to communicate the Gospel and the world view associated with it. In this way, many readers might receive the Christian message and consider it whereas they might distrust it if presented propositionally.
Athanatos is an apologetics ministry, but one that encourages as many ‘methods’ as possible to defend the faith. The arts and literature are one area where the secular community used to reign supreme. However, this is changing, and Athanatos aims to facilitate that change. This writing contest is part of that strategy.
Athanatos Book Reviews Due to continued requests for feedback and evaluation of manuscripts in light of ACM’s unique emphasis, this service was launched in September of 2012.

Athanatos Conferences In ACM’s first online conference, a vision was cast for ‘literary’ apologetics, or the defense and promotion of the Christian faith through the arts and the written word in particular. In our second conference, we focused on the visual arts, especially film and video, and especially how they pertained to marriage, the family, and human life. The third conference returned to the power of narrative to communicate and defend the faith. In our fourth conference, we connected the dots between the Gospel and pro-life values. Our fifth conference focused on general apologetics topics, but was themed “Women Equipping Women.”

“They Were Wrong” Project Almost every time I finish giving a presentation I will be approached by one or more people telling me how doctors said that their child would have such and such problem once it was born, but after birth it is discovered that the child is perfectly healthy. Given how many times variations of this story are shared with me, it has occurred to me that perhaps it is time these stories be compiled into a book which can be distributed to hospitals, crisis pregnancy centers, and churches, so they can give it to couples who have just been informed the worst by their doctors. This book will help them keep perspective and hopefully strengthen their resolve to keep their child.
Project Boaz: Pro-Life Advocacy by Men Calling Christian men in America to be men like Boaz–men of principle, men of character, men of action, and men who are known to be reliable.
Anthony’s blog, Christianity in Today’s America, on The Christian Post An ongoing discussion on the current state of the Church in America, how it got there, and where it is going. This blog will tackle tough issues for the Church in uncompromising terms while continuing to meet the challenges posed by a widening body of unbelievers. Anthony Horvath is a speaker and author, addressing the importance of equipping the Christian Church for today’s challenges. A former religion teacher and long-time apologist, Anthony is in touch with today’s shifting trends.
SntJohnny.com. In this apologetics blog, I have focused on educating people about what Christianity is all about and responding to the various charges and accusations made against it. If people are going to reject Christianity, it is my aim to at least make sure they reject the real Christianity and not a false view of it. Much heartache can be avoided by educating Christians properly to begin with. My job is to go out into the land and move rocks–or break them if necessary–till the land, and struggle through knee deep fertilizer… all in the effort to allow those who come later to plant, water, and reap the harvest. I look forward to the prospects of either serving you as someone who needs to haul rocks out of the field, or as someone who can look at the field, detect problems, and help farmers more effectively plant, water, and reap.
Policy Intersections Research Center was founded in November of 2012 by Dr. Anthony Horvath to better facilitate his pro-life and pro-liberty advocacy. Though PIRC has a strong emphasis on life issues, the whole point of the organization is that life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness are all related. A defense of life is a defense of liberty. A defense of liberty is a defense of the pursuit of happiness. A defense of pursuit of happiness is a defense of life.
Digital Life Team ACM can help manage your social media accounts and websites to build and edify your community! We will turn its team of skilled and experienced writers, website managers, and graphic artists to the variety of tasks you confront each day in trying to stay ‘with the times.’
Due to its own extensive technological needs, Athanatos Christian Ministries has its own web server. We are happy to offer web hosting to anyone, but believe that Christians and Christian organizations will be most interested in supporting a Christian ministry by purchasing a service that they would have had to purchase from someone else, anyway.
Invite to Speak Dr. Anthony Horvath is the founder and executive director of Athanatos Christian Ministries and its many projects. He has been involved in apologetics ministry for more than a decade with an emphasis on pro-life issues developing in 2006. A former religion teacher and director for parish ministries and a frequent speaker at churches, schools, and universities, Anthony is a past vice-president and president of Wisconsin Lutherans for Life and a member of the national Lutherans for Life speakers bureau. Anthony can speak on the topic of your choice to a wide range of listeners. See his “Invite to Speak” page for a list of topics and past engagements.
